Coral Racing

As you may expect from this, Coral horse racing betting offers a huge range of lines, with markets offered on all UK racing meets. Coupled with the ‘yourcall’ offer where customers can request a price for specific bets, Coral has established itself as a fan favourite for horse racing. For all sorts of betting markets, the odds levels at Coral usually range from good to competitive and the horse racing is even included. Once you try out the level of odds of all betting sites, they emerged as one among the best operators with the 5 highest payment prices, falling just percentage behind operators like Betway and William Hill.

Live Horse Race Betting

Your horse racing betting doesn't need to end when the UK racing does- here at Coral we offer a wide variety of International racing markets, with the most popular being from the USA live every night on Sky Sports Racing (Sky Channel 415).
Tote Betting
Betting on the American racing is available via online or telephone betting. Bets are placed directly into the US Tote pool (TRNI). Please be aware that dividends on the US tote are declared to a 2 unit stake, so a tote return displayed of 5.00 is actually 2.50 for every £1. Please be aware, if using our Telephone Betting service that as bets going into the pool will be in US Dollars, you will be required to either round up or round down your stake in order to match the equivalent dollar rate. Online bets will be staked as dollars and the equivalent GBP amount will be taken from your balance/bank.
Multiple Bets
Note that multiple bets are not available on the Tote.
Tote - Each Way Betting
Each way betting works differently on the American Tote than it would for your standard UK fixed odds bets. The markets they have are Win, Place and Show.
Win- Selecting this is betting on the horse to win.
Place- Selecting this is betting on the horse to come in the first two positions.
Show- Selecting this is betting on the horse to come in the first three positions.
The equivalent to a UK each way bet would be to place as 'Win and Show'.
Tote - Exactas & Trifectas
We accept exacta and trifecta bets on all US races where these are offered by the US Tote. These bets work the same as their UK counterparts which the exacta requiring the 1st and 2nd positions for a return whilst a trifecta is betting on the first 3 horses home.
Tote - Quinellas & Superfectas
We also offer betting on these Tote bets which may seem unfamiliar. A Quinella is essentially an exacta where the horses can be 1st or 2nd in any order. The charge for this is 1 unit stake, so it is equivalent to a dual forecast on European races. A Superfecta is predicting the first 4 runners home, either straight or in a combination.
Daily Double
This is a bet that is simply a double on the winners of the first 2 races of a meeting. Both have to win to receive a return,
Guide Prices
Each race market will show a guide price for each selection based on morning prices. These may be significantly different to the final Tote returns. A later Tote pool guide may also be available, which once again is only a guide and will not be a dividend at which the bet is placed. Bets are settled on the dividends returned at the race result.
Coupling
Sometimes you may find that some horses are 'coupled' on the tote markets. This is where the horse is from either the same owner/trainer and the tote market will offer a combined price for both of them. If you are backing a coupled horse on the US Tote, you will get a return if either of the coupled horses win. You can spot the coupled horses on the US racecards as they usually are designated with a letter; for instance horses 1 and 1A will be coupled.
Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 6 bets
You must select the correct first place finisher in each of the three/four/six consecutive races that make up the Pick 3/4/6 bet. The bet must be placed before the first race on the Pick 3/4/6. The bet is essentially an accumulator on the Tote and returns are given in the form of a dividend. Any scratched selection (non runner) will be replaced by the horse with the most stake placed on in the pool. In the event of any void races, a dividend will be returned based on the remaining races. Stakes are returned if none of the races run
Double Result
Please note that the double result concession is not paid out on US races. If a horse is disqualified or demoted by the stewards after finishing first pas the post then this will be settled as a loser.
